  1. Damn Kris this is one hell of a list!! Which ones are in your top 5?

Breakfast is usually the hardest for me. I tend to go with eggs, avocado and then some extra nuts or animal protein.

    Oh, and BACON!

    - Alex

  2. Karianne Myren says:

Kris you are such an inspiration!

  3. Kris,

This is awesome! These recipes all look amazing, especially the desserts. Great job on putting this together. Eating low carb isn’t so bad after all!

    Alykhan

  4. Tanay Gurjar says:

Kris lots of love and affection to you… a big shout out from India. You are doing great service, thank you.

  5. Becky-Oregon says:

Thank you for the fresh ideas. Perfect timing! I was just telling my daughter that I’m tired of eating the same low carb meals, and I wish I could find some new easy ideas. Ask and ye shall receive! Did low carb years ago with great success, until I discovered sugar free candy and Atkins bars. That was a big mistake. This time I am only eating whole foods. It’s so true what you say about any kind of unnatural sweets making me crave more. Now if I want a sweet, which is not often, I go for berries and cream. Aaaahhhhhh, cream! Thanks for the great article!

  6. Maryann says:

Thanks Kris!!! I am going to start writing my shopping list.

  7. Claudia says:

Thank you so much, Chris!! These look great!!

  8. Thank you so much for putting this together! I am a new “low-carber” and I have spent a lot of time surfing the web for recipes. This makes it so much easier because there are so many in one (trusted) location. Thanks!

  9. Amazing list Kris. Going way beyond awesome once again.

  10. Thank you, Your Awesomeness!

    U da bomb….

I was really hungry and had already had bacon earlier, etc. Would like to head out the door, just wishing for a little something. Saw the sweet peppers and avocado suggestion and thought, hey I have some cream cheese, so I will simply spread some over the halved baby peppers really quick.

    Mmmm. Good and fast!

  11. Hey Kris i am a Mother of 2 toddlers but i cook for a family of 6 with 4 adults. We are all on board to live RF/LC! I am getting ready to shop for this new life style change, however I had a question about your #94 American cheese sauce. Isn’t American cheese super processed and there for should be eliminated from our new diet? I would personally would prefer a mozzarella but one of my family members really likes American cheese. I thought it was too “processed” to be a real food?

  12. I have a recipe to add, one that my dad made up. It’s delicious! He serves it on tortillas, like a wrap, but the tortillas are optional. You could use romaine leaves as a wrap instead, add it to a salad, or even eat it just by itself.

It’s very simple: he dices carrots, celery, green onions, tomatoes, and mango into small pieces (the mango is what makes it good!). Then he chops up either chicken or steak into small pieces and mixes it in as well. He adds a little bit of balsamic vinaigrette, and leaves the bottle out so we can add more dressing if we want.

In my opinion, it tastes best after it’s been refrigerated. It’s a great summer meal!

  13. “25. Bacon and Eggs

    Ingredients: Bacon, eggs.”

    Nice.

  14. THANKS for all the links back to my site. I’m honored to be included in this list of awesome-looking recipes. I’ve bookmarked a bunch to try ASAP!

  15. Kris,

Thank you for your hard work and dedication. LCRF is imperative. I only wish the masses would recognize the dire emergency of proper nutrition. It can be done on most incomes. Organic can be expensive, it isn’t always a must just make the freshest choice.

Here’s to good nutrition and Thank you again!!!
    ~Smooches

  16. Thanks for the compilation of recipes, many of them are wonderfully creative.

Just wanted to mention a product that a friend recommended to me, called “shirataki noodles”, made from konjac flour.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shirataki_noodles

They seem to have become a trendy food for lowcarb diets. So far, I have not read anything really negative about them, health-wise. I tried them myself, with sauces and chili. Being a real pasta lover, I thought they were a pretty nice alternative to spaghetti. I had bought a pack of them (they are packed in liquid), less than 16 oz, and altogether, it was 30 calories altogether for 2 servings. Cost about $2. Not too bad.
    Best,
    NS

  17. Melissa says:

    Hi Kris,
I would like to know for weight loss, what should my calorie intake be when eating a low-carb diet? I am trying to eat no more then 50g in carbohydrates per day and I know to eat high fat and no sugar but did not know what the total calories per day should be.

  18. So many really good low carb recipes!

  19. Hi Kris, thanks for the recipes, got a few questions though regarding some foods I tend to eat regularly but cannot really classify if they fit in the diet:

    - Soja milk (Yes /No)
    - Tahini (Yes / No)
    - Chickpeas for Hummus (Yes / No)

As I understood, no cow’s milk and regarding dairy, only full fat products. Any recommendations regarding cheese, I live in Europe /NL so we got lots to choose from that’s natural.

Dairy products also daily or once in a while?

Would be happy to get your or anybodies expertise on this.

    Thanks!

  20. Thank you- this site has been amazing to read. I am just starting out on a low carb lifestyle. I have IBS and have always found that all the diets and such out there are just not “family friendly” like they claim. This is just what I needed, a way to eliminate what ails me! Whilst still only cooking 1 main meal for everyone – with minor changes or a few substitutes for me.

  21. Hi, when you say “burgers and sausage” in some of the recipes, do you mean make your own burgers and sausage? I could make burgers but not sausage or am I just not getting something?

  22. Really love all of the recipes, especially the the dessert ones!.

  23. I just made the fish soup in saffron broth, but used chicken stock and added the optional can of coconut soup. It was amazing, the whole family loved it. I can’t wait to try more. Thanks so much for posting these, I hate getting in a rut with my food… these will definitely change things up.

  24. Thank you so much for putting together this amazing list! I’m not dreading my attempt at a low-carb diet anymore!

  25. Kris, thank you for these recipes. Now I won’t have a hard time thinking what to eat. I can also eat eggs in peace, thanks for the links.

I’d like to add, your blogs about lchf are great because you explained them so clearly. It really helped me, who is struggling to control my sugar. I’m really grateful Kris, God bless!

  26. Kris Roberts says:

Hi Kris: Just read an article about the Duke Medical Diet, 20 grams carbs. I have to lose weight and I have to start now, along with your recipes this really helps, thanks for being there. I’ve got to lose about 100 lbs, a bit overwhelming but I know I can do it… Thanks, Kris from Phoenix.

  27. My girlfriends and I are on a no carb/low carb diet. I’m having movie night at my place, thanks for the treats!

  28. I’m going to start setting up my weekly menus. I’m concerned about how to determine proper proportions for each meal, e.g.: Breakfast omelet? I don’t want to over eat. Help! :)

  29. Hi, in the “Healthy Cooking Oils – The Ultimate Guide” article, you said to avoid sesame oil, and in the lunches recipes (9. Paleo Lettuce Wrap) one of the ingredients is sesame oil, I am confused.

  30. Do you have any meal ideas for those who can’t eat a lot of green leafy veggies? I’m taking coumadin and the vitamin k interferes with the effectiveness of my medication. Even stuff like mayo and olive oil are high in vitamin k… thanks.

  31. What an amazing freebie you offer here! Feels like I’m in Candy Land standing in front of the “have-it-all” shop – you rock Kris and THANK YOU! :)

  32. I don’t know about all that bacon and beef heart. I try to stay away from the really fatty meats. I stick to Fish, shrimp, lean chicken, turkey, ground turkey and beef… occasionally. I hardly eat pork, because I’m not a big fan of the meat. Eating a lot of beef, pork and wings is what makes a low carb diet unhealthy.

  33. Michelle says:

Thank you very much for the awesome food ideas. I am loving them. I was diagnosed with diabetes, thyroid and low iron. My mum put me on a diet and I’m doing a detox now for 3 weeks, It’s really hard to have food ideas without any starch, sauces and sweet vegetables.

  34. Omg… the foods are so good, I love em’ :)

  35. Hi, I am new here, trying to get more information about the low carb diet, as I want it to be my new healthy style of life.

The only thing that bothers me is the breakfast, after a severe allergy I can’t eat more than 2 eggs a week. I took a look in one off the blogs you posted and I have found a lot of great breakfast recipes, and my question is: are all paleo recipes good for low carb diet?

Note: I have to lose weight.

    Thank you.
