Medical doctor. PhD in nutrition science.
Matt is a nutritional scientist and physician who completed a combined MD and PhD program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
He has published clinical trials and epidemiological studies on the effects of high protein diets on weight loss and body fat, muscle mass and bone density.
He loves statistics (nerdy, right?) and believes a lot of nutrition myths can be debunked by looking closely at the data.
He currently lives in North Carolina with his wife April and son Taylor. He keeps active by trying to keep up with Taylor and their dog, Oliver Wendell Holmes.
